Mary started with ECU Dining Services in 2005. She works as the Business Services Coordinator for ECU Dining Services managing the meal plan office and the point-of-sale system. Mary is an ECU alum and her oldest daughter recently graduated from ECU with a BS in Nursing. Mary enjoys spending her spare time in her vegetable garden canning and preserving the bounty. She also enjoys all things Broadway, especially the musical Hamilton.

Neal Bean

Neal started with ECU Dining Services just as the service department was created (2006). He is the Lead Technician of the dining services maintenance department. Neal has a wealth of knowledge of the daily processes throughout all operational aspects of Dining Services. He was raised in the small town of Pelham, North Carolina and loves fishing. hunting and watching North Carolina State University athletics. You can find Neal out on the grounds of ECU, as he does not sit still long.

Ernie Benz

Ernie began with ECU Dining Services in 2012. As a Building Maintenance Technician, he is responsible for maintenance of the interior and exterior of our dining venues and outdoor patios. Born in Toronto, Ontario Canada, Ernie enjoys watching hockey and going to see the Toronto Maple Leafs when they play the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh.  Ernie also enjoys spending time cooking Jamaican food with his family.

David Wynne

David brings over 32 years of experience in facilities maintenance to ECU Dining Services. He has been a part of the ECU community for more than a decade, primarily serving in the Heating and Air Conditioning Department before recently joining the dining team. A licensed CSE professional, David is known for his reliable service, technical expertise, and dedication to keeping campus operations running smoothly.

Originally from Bear Grass, North Carolina, where he has lived for the past 35 years, David enjoys spending time outdoors. He is an avid deer hunter, and he and his wife love camping at Camp Hatteras beach. They have two children: a 25-year-old son and a 22-year-old daughter.
