Campus Living Contracts

Housing Application Process

NOTE: The contract can be accessed via a laptop or workstation only, not on mobile devices

  1. First, students must activate their pirate ID and pay the enrollment deposit before they can access the housing application.
  2. The next business day after an enrollment deposit is paid, students will log onto their Pirate Port.
  3. Once logged into Pirate Port, scroll down to the box labeled, “Campus Living – Housing”. This will take students to the housing portal.
  4. Log into the Housing portal through the SSO button, using ECU credentials.
  5. Complete the online housing application.
    • Select a meal plan (required)
    • Learn about Living Learning Communities and preference any you are interested in (optional).
    • Electronically sign the housing contract; a proxy will need to co-sign if the student is under the age of 18 at the time they complete this application.
    • Pay the $135 application fee (by VISA or Mastercard).
    • SUBMIT the application.
  6. Please note the following regarding the housing application:
    • Students no longer provide neighborhood preferences; most students will have the opportunity to select their own room later in the summer (more information will be sent to the student’s ECU email over the summer)
    • Meal plan selection can be changed on the application until July 1
    • Roommate groups (your preferred roommate) can be added until May 6
    • We suggest submitting housing applications as soon as possible for the best chance to self-select a room, even if you are uncertain about meal plans and roommate preferences.
  7. Do not forget to click the SUBMIT button!
  8. Access to the roommate search module will be available after all previous steps have been successfully completed and your application status shows complete.
