ECU Campus Living is currently seeking several Resident Advisors. The Resident Advisor (RA) is a live-in position responsible for building relationships and creating engaging residential communities with the Hall Coordinator and other hall staff. The Hall Coordinator serves as the Resident Advisor’s immediate supervisor.
Review RA Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of a 2.5 semester and cumulative GPA
- Clear conduct record with Campus Living and the University (this does not mean you can never have been documented, it just means you met with the person you were supposed to and completed any sanctions that may have been distributed)
- Clear criminal record and Background Check
- Documentation that you have at least 1 semester of live-on experience/community living

Things to Consider Before Applying
- The Resident Advisor position requires the following:
- Full academic year commitment
- A minimum of 20 hours per week time commitment
- Duty availability on weeknights/weekends
- Attend mandatory RA training before Fall (early August) and Spring (early January) semesters
- Until you are offered in writing a Resident Advisor Employment Agreement by Campus Living, you understand that you do not have a Resident Advisor position at any point in the selection process including but not limited to interviews and training sessions.
- First semester RAs cannot have secondary employment.
- The Campus Living housing application process is separate from the RA Selection process, and if you are not selected for the RA position, you will need to plan for your own housing accommodations.
- Make sure that all information on your application is accurate. Any misrepresentation may result in your application being rejected.
- Only those applicants with complete application packets, clear conduct record, and minimum GPAs will be considered for open positions.
- Those selected for the position will have projected contract dates starting early August 2025 through mid-May 2026 (dates subject to change).

RA Application Process
The application for the RA position will open on Monday, September 30th, 2024. For priority consideration, please complete your full application by Monday, January 27th, 2025, at 11:59 pm. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed on an as needed basis. To be considered as an applicant please complete the following steps:

- If you have never been a student employee at ECU, click “Create an Account” and follow the prompts.
- Complete the PeopleAdmin application process and press submit.

- Interview General Timeline: Interviews will take place in Early February.
- Offer Timeline: Offers will be extended to selected candidates by late March or early April!
