Biology Living Learning Community
The purpose of the Biology Living Learning Community (BioLLC) is to help our intended biology and biochemistry students succeed at ECU, in the major, and in their careers. Our focus is on first generation college students, but all are welcome to apply. Our goal is for students to take full advantage of everything that a large university offers.
Events include: Peer Mentor Program, Beach Trip, Ropes Course to Build Teamwork, Fall Welcome Back Cookout, Service Learning Project, etc.
“One of my greatest worries as a prospective college student was meeting new people and establishing an entirely new life away from home. Placing yourself in the proper environment is the best thing that you can do when transitioning into higher education. On arrival, you learn that there are many students with different interests. Finding a group whose interests and goals align with your own is indispensable, so being placed into the LLC with similar majors is an excellent start.” – Alexander Hondros
